Trinket box honeycomb pattern
Available
This Belgian marble box, cut to replicate the octagonal shape of the Taj Mahal, is a beauty to behold. The jet black of the marble contrast sharply with the semiprecious stones that have been inlaid to resemble a honeycomb. This design reminds us of the geometrical patterns used in the Taj Mahal and other Mughal buildings usually in the layout of their floors. This box is a masterpiece not only because is uses the now rare Belgian marble, but also, because each hexagonal honeycomb centre is surrounded by six very tiny mother-of pearl lines. It is a difficult design to work with as geometrical designs need to be more accurate than floral designs. We hope that you will enjoy having this box in your home as a conversation piece.
