We were commissioned with 16 exact Makrana (a place in Rajasthan, India from where the marble for the Taj Mahal was excavated) marble Mughal style fountains by the Al-Sugair family of Bahrain.The client first sent us the pictures and the dimensions of the fountains that they wanted and we executed the project based on them.

The next step was to make the fountains themselves which were made in 4 separate parts so that the mechanism could be assembled easily underneath it. The fountains were made of pure white Makrana marble taking care that all 16 had the same shade of the marble.

The 16 fountains were shipped to the client and assembled by their workers. We had the pleasure of visiting their still under construction home in Bahrain. We also made 3 extra fountains free of charge and sent them to the client so that they could use them as a replacement in the future.

The client wanted to get custom floors made for one of their drawing rooms. The brief was to make 6 floors, hexagonal in shape, measuring 72 cms across. The designs were selected from existing tables in our showrooms.

The third step was to make all the semi-precious stones and put them on top of the hexagonal marble slab. At this point the semi-precious stones have not been inlaid so it is possible to make some more changes if necessary. This stage is very critical in all our projects. It gives the client clarity of what the finished product will look like with the flexibility of making any last minute changes that they might want.

The final piece that was made for the client was the nameplate of their home. It was executed on round, white marble disks measuring approximately 14 inches across and were inlaid with black onyx in both Arabic and English lettering.
