This gorgeous marble box is one of a kind inspired by the trunks used in olden days for storing valuables. The flowers made on the box is called “champa” in the local language, Hindi. Each petal of the flower is made of 3 different semi-precious stones with a single hair thick vein of mother -of -pearl running between the two sections of the petal. While working on such delicate veins is a difficult undertaking in itself, the most difficult part is giving them a curve at the edges. Since this box is made ofwhite marble, placing a light inside it will allow the light to pass through making the box glow softly.
